About the Role:
The Senior Claims Technician will play a key role in our Claims team, responsible for efficiently and professionally settling personal and commercial short-term insurance claims. This position requires a confident and experienced individual who can work under binder agreements and uphold our reputation for exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and settle personal and commercial short-term insurance claims
- Operate within the binder agreements and handle claims settlement mandates
- Liaise with insurers, clients, and service providers
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal processes
- Provide support and guidance to junior claims staff
- Maintain accurate records using Cardinal C360
- Check and sign off on claims
Requirements:
5 – 10 years of experience in short-term insurance claims (personal & commercial lines) Proven ability to manage claims settling mandates as a Solid Binder Broker Must have FAIS accreditation and RE certification Experience with the Cardinal C360 system is required Must reside within a 15km radius of the office – proximity is crucial for this role Previous management or supervisory experience will be a strong advantage
